The work of Aph and Syl Ko (Aphro-ism) and Breeze Harper (Sistah Vegan) has brought attention to critical theories of black veganism that offer different philosophical etiologies for vegan identities. In extending this work, and as part of the imaginative, futuristic, and visionary aspects of VAP, VAP is collaborating with Farm Forward and the Culture & Animals Foundation to provide space for imaginative writing on a black vegan reframing of America using a restorative-justice, Afrofuturist model.
